PROFILE/DESCRIPTION

​J and J snack foods is an American manufacturer, distributer and vendor of snack foods headquartered in Pennsauken, New Jersey. J and J is a large company that has an above average gross income as a snack distributor. Their target audience is high schoolers and middle aged people. They advertise healthy snack alternatives despite being moderately unhealthy. Adults buy them in bulk for themselves/kids and high schoolers have access to their massive number of bars in vending machines. This product will appeal to people that don't think twice when they see the word "fit", and to high schoolers who are looking for a quick healthy snack. I am going to be redesigning their banana chunk bar to advertise their "health effects" and to make the wrapper not look like a weird dissected rectangle with a gross looking granola bar in the middle.

GOALS

​After people catch a glimpse of the new design, they should feel that they are being actively healthy and thoughtful of themselves. This company should feel like home. You should feel comfortable when buying J and J products after seeing the warm design.

TARGET AUDIENCE

​High schoolers who buy them from stocked vending machines. Middle aged people who buy them in bulk for their kids and believe they are healthy.

BRAND CHARACTER

Makes bars that have some health benefits. Appeals to people with varying economic flexibility. Tastes great while having a reasonable amount of sugar.

COMPETITIVE SITUATION

​Clif Bar - Largest producer of bark worldwide. Kind - Healthy company that appeals to large audience. Lara - Half health benefits half simple design to pull people in.
