PROFILE/DESCRIPTION

Diary of the Unsaid: telling you about the club

The idea for this blog began in late ninth grade after almost three years of thoughtful conversations shared between friends. We realized that the privilege of having these talks could become more than just private exchanges. Wanting to share our perspectives on mental health, everyday struggles, and becomign the highest version of yourself we first planned to launch a podcast. After more consideration, we shifted to creating the blog that has since grown into Diary of the Unsaid. Much of the early planning took place over video calls in our bedrooms and quick meetups at Starbucks. Those small sessions shaped the inspiration for this club: a space for self-research and projects that promote authenticity. We hope this blog becomes a resource that supports you as much as those conversations supported us.

What are we?

  • Student-led club about mental health, empathy, and authenticity
  • A blog focused on writing on universal or personal anonymous experiences on students on our age
  • A series of student-led research projects( on our blog), and a focus on community outreach throughout the year.
  • Space to have fun and make new friends!

Our blogging projects focus on exploring mental health and everyday challenges through writing and research. Each project takes on a theme (ex: glow-up culture, self-care, or social pressures) and combines personal reflection with facts and resources. The goal is to create posts that are relatable and an authentic experience for readers and members. While simultaneously giving those a chance to express their voices and ideas on these themes.

Our campaigns are intended to spread kindness and raise awareness about mental health in innovative, hands-on ways. Projects include writing public compliments, sending uplifting cards to senior centers and hospitals, highlighting staff or students with community messages, and launching hashtag challenges to inspire positivity online. Each campaign aims to turn small actions into larger changes by making kindness visible and accessible.

Our donations are directed toward programs and organizations that support mental health. This can include local mental health centers, nonprofits that provide counseling or crisis resources, school-based wellness initiatives, and larger organizations that fund research or community outreach. The goal is to make sure contributions directly help people access care, or support systems that improve mental well-being.
