PROFILE/DESCRIPTIONStussy is a street wear company that has based in Irvine, CA. They have physical stores all around the world, mostly in urban cities like London, Paris, New York, LA, Shanghai, Taipei, Kyoto, Tokyo, Osaka, Milan and other locations. The stores themselves seem to resemble a gallery for their products and related art and photography. Initially producing surfboards in the late 80's and early 90's, their products now range form wearable accesoriesasn clothes to home accesories like candles and incense. Their products do have an air of exclusivity, as their products are made at a limited stock that is often below the damand for it in the market. The brand was committed to producing relevant, good quality clothing at a reasonable price available only at very select stores worldwide in limited quantities.
I intend to install the posters in and around Ginza in Tokyo or in Harajuku. I feel this may be appropriate due to the fact that Ginza is known as one of the more bussy and more well known shopping districts in Japan, similarly for Harajuku which is more known for “younger fashion” along with the fact that Japan also has a pretty trendy population. There are also stores in those areas. However, dispite these facts, I have no real solid data to bake up these claims, so in terms of supporting data, the LA and Irvine area is a desireable alternative choice. According to data from Claritas, there is a high density of a group of wealthy younger people mostly without kids, as well as a group of wealthy older without kids. There is also 2 locations in the vacinity of Los Angeles, which I feel would make the advertisement more effective.
