PROFILE/DESCRIPTION

We first chose an image with an iconic or recognizable shape. We then used the pen tool to trace the outline of this shape. Our next task was to choose an image that either complimented the previous shape or vise versa. Creating a clipping mask, we were to created an image that was to describe a current problem.

GOALS

Through this image, I wanted to describe the current California drought. The shape of California is iconic enough to stand on its own, while I found an image to be cut out that looked like cracked, dry land but could not be mistaken as a road map.
