PROFILE/DESCRIPTIONThe fictional company I will be making a brandmark for is called Pirouette. It is a ballet dancewear brand with its headquarters based in Paris, France. It is available in dance stores all over Europe and the United States. Pirouette creates leotards, tutus, pointe shoes, ballet shoes, and tights for an extensive variety of skin tones. Currently, most dancewear brands do not produce products in colors other than light tones, making it difficult for dancers with darker skin tones to purchase dancewear, often leaving them to “pancake” their dancewear (dying them with foundation). Pirouette will make it affordable and easier for dancers of all ages to purchase great quality dancewear that matches their skin tones.
