PROFILE/DESCRIPTION

The class my campaign focuses on is Dance. The class has a good amount of students but i think the number up sign ups could be greater. I believe the class is missing two things, which more registers could help to bring; it’s missing more males and more diverse dancing. This year’s dance show had a lot of hip-hop and jazz dancing. Last year, as well as the years before had many styles of dance such as, ballet, tango, contemporary, gospel, tap, and many others. There are a great number of dancers at our school who aren’t in the class. I believe they don’t want to be in the class because they think since they have already taken classes and they don’t want to be with lower level dancers. Ms. Shibano once told me that she took the same dance classes multiple times because you are never finished learning, no matter how many classes you’ve taken. The number of students have grown in the past years and we hope to keep the numbers growing with experienced dancers and inexperienced ones.

GOALS

Like everyone else, my main goal is to increase the number of sign-ups. I don’t have a number goal; my goal is to get more experienced dancers, more men, and more dancers with diverse dance styles. My campaign aims to show how serious the class is, what you will learn, and what you could be doing.
