PROFILE/DESCRIPTIONThe purpose of this ad campaign is to refresh an appeal for Volkswagen cars - the brand - not to promote the launch of a new vehicle. Instead of advertising a top of the line, fuel-efficient car just rolling out the factory, Volkswagen is hoping to remind customers the history and “fun” behind its cars. The intended audience for these print ads should be everyone, those prospective and those whom are already proud owners of Volkswagens.
GOALSThis design brings to light the common relationship between man and dog. It is widely recognized that a person’s perfect companion is their dog—Volkswagen begs to differ. Instead, they offer the opinion that cars, namely a Volkswagen, is the better, if not the best, complement to one’s life.
