Objectives/Project Description:

  1. Update the Duracell® packaging to fit the new standards:
    1. environmentally friendly
    2. cheaper to produce
      1. less plastic
      2. less black ink
    3. easier to use
    4. stands out on shelf
      1. improve vibrancy of Coppertop™ branding

GOALS

Objectives/Design Objective:

  1. Eco-friendly and easy to use packaging
  2. Be able to re-use the box in home, can serve as promotional material as they keep the Duracell® box for longer to store batteries.
  3. Have a unique shelf presence compared to all the same plastic battery holders that are non-functional slack fill.

PRIORITIES

Communication Priorities:

  1. Branding (Coppertop™)
  2. The simplicity but power of the brand
  3. Must be orange and black

TARGET AUDIENCE

Details/Target Audience:

  1. Everyday person needing a long lasting battery EX:
    1. tv remotes
    2. game controllers
    3. calculators
    4. flashlights
    5. radios
  2. schools and businesses stocking up battery EX:
    1. For every projector remote at a office/school
    2. Powering keyboards at a office/school
    3. Powering mice at office/school

Details/Brand Character:

  1. Well known to both ordinary and business people
  2. Guarantied 10 years in storage
  3. Used all around the world in many devies
  4. Sold at stores everywhere

COMPETITIVE SITUATION

Details/Competitive Situation:

  1. other battery brands:
    1. Energizer (main competitor)
    2. Amazon basics (selling non-profitable to catch up to major brands)
  2. brand is getting out-dated and does not stand out on shelfs.
