PROFILE/DESCRIPTION

East Bay Regional Parks District is an organization that operates in the San Francisco East Bay. The park system has 73 parks and spans across 126,809 acres with about 1,250 miles of walkable trails. East Bay Parks has been servicing this region's parks for 90 years. The District builds and restoring parks ensuring that the next generation will be able to enjoy the East Bay's natural beauty. The district's mission is as follows,“The need is a vital one... The charm of the region as a place in which to live will depend largely upon natural conditions that are destined to disappear unless properly protected for the public in general“ Park Reservations for East Bay Cities, Olmsted Brothers and Ansel F. Hall, December, 1930. The company has an invested interest in maintaining a safe and beautiful environment for years to come. East Bay Parks have jobs concerning maintenance and protection of the parks.

My target audience is the upper middle and wealthy class people of Berkeley between the ages of 20-65+. With their homes mainly being 1-4 people and the average salary in the home being between 150,000 to 500,000+. These people likely shop at grocery stores like trader joes and whole foods and eat mostly organic foods. They like to go to an expensive barkery at least once a week like the Nabolom and acme.

GOALS

My goal for this design is to encourage people to donate money for the preservation of the parks. I want people to feel that these parks are important and deserve to exist for years to come. They should feel inspired to help fend the creation of new parks in the future and help expand the organization.
