Saudi Arabia will host an ATP Masters 1000 tournament as early as 2028, in the latest move in nearly three years of power battles, negotiation and inertia that have come to dominate the top of tennis.
SURJ, the sports division of the kingdom’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), and the governing body of men’s tennis confirmed Thursday that the event will be a 56-player draw over one week. It will not be a mandatory event.
