PROFILE/DESCRIPTION

The assignment was to make a flyer for a product or event. J-POP Summit is a yearly festival held in SF that celebrates not just j-pop, but also Japanese animation, art, and culture.

GOALS

The picture is a painting by Japanese artist Kaori Wakamatsu (she was there this year, it was crazy!). The typeface is simple and clean, with defined lines like Wakamatsu's painting. The colors are eyedroppered from the painting as well, and they are ordered from light to dark, but also large to small from top down to make it easy for the viewer to find the important information, and the details if necessary.
