PROFILE/DESCRIPTION

The purpose of this project was taking a logo, and in this case I took the New York Yankees logo and traced it with the pen tool to create a clipping mask. We then would add a photo to that clipping mask that says something about that particular logo.

GOALS

The goal of my design is to show that the Yankees (who up until this year have had the highest payroll in the MLB since 1998) are a very wealthy team , which is why I put money in the logo. Additionally I wanted this picture to show that since the Yankees are so wealthy they pay huge amounts of money for the best players which then helps them win lots of games. In the sports world a lot of fans think the Yankees pay for championships which is why they are hated by many baseball fans. I could maybe see this logo next to an article that talks about the Yankees very high opening day payroll or an article about the highest salary teams.
