PROFILE/DESCRIPTION

Niche is an interior design company located in San Francisco, California. It is a small company that focuses on modern, clean design. The intended audience is any person with a house or an apartment that potentially needs an interior designer. When people see this design, I hope that they get the message that Niche is a professional company that is capable of making good, clean, modern interior design.

GOALS

My goal for this design was to express the modern style of Niche through my typeface choice. The picture that I used has clean right angles, so I chose the typeface Futuro for the title. Futuro is a sans serif typeface, and it has many clean right angles that mirror those in the picture. The picture I used also has circular or curved aspects. The typeface I used for the contact information is also sans serif, but the letters themselves are thinner, making the letters look more rounded, matching the picture. The colors that I used also match the picture; I took a darker blue from the couch for the title and contact information to make them easily readable, and a lighter blue from the wall for the subtitle to add variety and make it stand out. The background of the text came from the floor of the picture. I used colors from the picture for my text in order to tie the text and the image together, make them look like they are meant to be put together, and to make the design look more professional. Overall, I wanted the text to be clean, readable, and modern, so that the people who see this design will get a feel for what the company stands for.
