PROFILE/DESCRIPTION

Project Title: Packing ReDesign Project 

Provide a Project Description: Update current U by Kotex tampon packaging to serve a more gender-neutral audience and also create a more appealing-looking box. 

  • Use graphics created by me using Illustrator or Photoshop to create a new design for the packaging

Provide a Design Objective: Create a design that appeals to people on the entire gender spectrum (no matter their gender), that makes them feel included and comfortable. 

Communication Priorities

  • Brand with the name of the company
  • Provide a comfortable feeling from packaging
  • Include graphics created by me
  • Create a graphic of a tampon and how to use it (easy instructions)
  • Size options

Target Audience

  • People who menstruate, no matter their gender identity.
  • Preferably people between the age of 15-35 (who are typically those who menstruate).

Brand Character

  • Add the tagline “with COMFORTFLEX for your perfect fit” from the company's main packaging.
  • Add “100% leak-free” on the packaging as well.
  • Fit within a different color palette (more neutrals) than the original packaging.

Competitive Situation

  • Tampax - the most bought tampon brand (29% of the global market share).
  • Other brands such as Honey Pot create appealing packaging with guaranteed quality products for menstruation.
