PROFILE/DESCRIPTIONProfile: The company I am advertising is Pocky. The brand was founded in 1966 in Japan and is owned by a brand called Glico. Pocky can be found at many stores around the US. They are very thin biscuit sticks covered in a sweet coating. The brand originally started with only a chocolate coating, but has expanded to sell almond, strawberry, matcha, cookies and cream, and more seasonal flavors. Pocky has become a favorite treat for kids and teenagers because of its fun shape and youthful flavors. Pocky’s motto is “Share Happiness” because it encourages the snack to be shared among friends, family, and pretty much everyone. The snack is supposed to be fun and is supposed to make the people eating it happy and enjoying themselves.
Pt 2: I am planning on putting one of the posters in Oakland, California in Alameda County. Another will be in Washington DC. The last one will be in Seattle, Washington in King County. I chose these three places because they are well known areas that will have Pocky supplies close by that chain grocery stores carry. All of the areas have a diverse population with a lot of young people who are keen to have fun snacks and foods.
Pt 3:
Brand advantages: Affordable, available around the world, fun for kids and adults
Brand attributes: Iconic, simple, attractive, tasty, timeless
Brand experience: Easy, fun, nostalgic, friendly
GOALSAfter seeing the posters, I want people to crave Pocky. I want the posters to both be aesthetically pleasing as well as make people want to go out and get themselves some Pocky. In addition, the posters have to be fun in order to show how Pocky is for all ages. I want people to feel reminded of a snack they used to have when they were younger, or just show them a fun new snack they should try the next time they go to the store.
