PROFILE/DESCRIPTION

Part 1: The company I am advertising for is Spotify. Spotify is one of the largest international streaming platforms for music, podcasts, and books as well. The specific service I will be advertising is it’s vast access to all kinds of music through the Student Premium Plan. The mission statement on the Spotify website states, “Our mission is to unlock the potential of human creativity—by giving a million creative artists the opportunity to live off their art and billions of fans the opportunity to enjoy and be inspired by it.” 

Part 2: I will be targeting wealthier areas with people in their 50-60s. I chose this target because I want people to be wealthy enough to afford Spotify premium and not know as much about the different streaming options. Music is a unifying factor between generations so I want to take advantage of that and find songs that they would be interested in.  

Part 3:
Brand advantages:  reliable, fast, high quality, simple
Brand attributes: better deals, no ads, access to a vast spread of music, high-quality audio, downloads, easy to use, features up-and-coming artists
Brand experience: can be calm or energetic, nostalgic/futuristic, represented


 

GOALS

With this ad, I want people who don’t know or think much about music to learn that they can use Spotify to listen to songs of the present and past. I will use older songs that were more popular when the target audience was in their 20s to grab their attention. I want them to feel seen and to feel nostalgic remembering the fun memories they (hopefully) have associated with those songs.
