PROFILE/DESCRIPTION

Virescent is a fictitious, multi-millionaire, bio-engineering company that started in 2007, focusing on plant genetic modification. Virescent is split into two main departments, research and development, and manufacturing. Most of the products produced by Virescent are sourced to commercial, family-owned, and hospital agricultural farms. Virescent started off with the intention of modifying the genetics of plants for faster growth and an increased photosynthesis rate, while maintaining the health and maturity of the plant. These plants would allow farms to produce more, having multiple harvests within a season. After the success of their initial goals, in 2012 Virescent began developing another modification that would increase the medicinal content within some plants commonly used in medicine.
